"Homeward, Where the Heart Lives" Exhibition

Hi friends,

I’m thrilled to share this info about an upcoming Ontario Society of Artists exhibition I’m a part of.

When I thought about the theme of the show “Homeward - Where the Heart Lives”, I knew immediately that I wanted to submit my painting of Dually.

Horses have been an integral part of my life. They have have taught me so many lessons and it’s been a blessing to spend time with such incredible creatures. After selling my horse Bailey, in my early twenties, I didn’t know if I’d ever return to riding. I was heartbroken and it felt too painful to even think about.

Time has passed, I’ve painted lots horses since, and in the fall of 2022 with encouragement from a special friend , I dusted off my riding gear and went back to the barn.

Spending time with Dually, getting back in the saddle, and in that environment, has helped me reconnect with one of my first true loves. It has grounded me and filled my heart with joy.

My painting of Dually will be on display along with a wonderful collection of diverse artworks. If you’re in the Toronto area, it’ll be worth a visit!
